KENZIC

Kadeem Wilson is a Jamaican Prime Minister awarded actor and reggae recording artist “Kenzic” born and raised in the inner cities of Kingston Jamaica. Kadeem started his educational career at three years old when he attended Franklyn Town Church Of God Basic School after reaching age five he then journeyed just across the community of Franklyn town to the Clan Carthy Primary School after passing his GSAT examinations he then went on to the Mona High School where he achieved Seven CXC subjects graduating from the Tertiary institution he began to carve his own niche while attending Excelsior Community College where he enrolled in a three year Associates degree program for Performing Arts where he majored in Music and Drama completing his studies in 2009.

Kadeem after securing his associates degree was casted in his first main stream theatre production called THROUGH THE FIRE a stage play produced by director and play write Pablo Hiolet at age sixteen in 2006. He was then recasted in director Pablo Hiolet’s 2008 Theatrical production called CAUGHT IN THE NET the production went on to become a hit winning the actor boy award for the best comedy in 2009. Kadeem went on to win the Mr. Emancipation award 2010 and in that same year he joined the Jamaica pantomime group and did its seasonal Theatrical production entitled PIRATE JACK a stage play that went on to win several actor boy awards including Best production, best set designed, Best costume design and best musical score.

Kadeem went on to be casted in his first feature film in 2011 with renowned film Director and writer Chris Browne’s GHETT-A-LIFE as gully rat (jr lead antagonist) the movie won Tiff Film Festival Best Film Script and the Best International Film Award at Canns Film Festival in france, In that same year CNN named Ghett’a Life the Best African Film of the 21st Century. Kadeem was casted in 2011 in a television series entitled KINGSTON HOUSE as che (lead antagonist) in that same year The Bible Society of The West Indies Casted him in their Centennial production entitled LUKE IN ACTION a theatrical production geared at promoting the bibles book of luke in jamaican creole with a stage play entitled WEH LUKE A SEH where he played the lead antagonist( DON T) that toured all 14 parishes of jamaica.

Oliver Samuels then cast Kadeem in his 2012 hit theatrical production called WHO A DI DON where he performed in over one hundred shows locally In Jamaica alone and traveled doing his first international tour covering Fifty Five shows in America, Canada and the UK, in that same year Kadeem went on to do a his first international film a Canadian featrue film produced by Production house E ONE a film titled HOME AGAIN written and directed by Sudz Sutherland starring along Tatiyana Ali, CCH Pounder, Stephan James, Lyric Bent, FeFe Dobson and Paul Campbell as the Lead Antagonist (MR G) Home Again the film won the 2014 Pan African film festivals best international film award and in that same year Kadeem was award the most pretentious award awarded to exemplary and extraordinary young achievers of Jamaica The Prime Ministers Youth Award for excellence in Arts and Culture.

Kadeem was casted in Jeremy Whitaker’s 2015 feature film Destiny as Pablo starring along many of Jamaica’s top tire creative artists Christopher Martin, Karian Sang, Tifa, Spice, Khadine Miss Kitty Hilton and Kevoy Burton. Kadeem has since then starred in Storm Saulter’s 2018 Urban Classic feature length film Sprinter producer by international super stars Will Smith and Jada Smith’s production house Overbrook in a lead role starring as the antagonist (Germaine) a flamboyant over achiever turned scammer searching for redemption through his younger brother Akeem starring Hollywood listers David Allan Gier,Lorraine Tussant, Yazz, Usain Bolt, Dale Elliot, Shantol Jackson Dennis Titus and Demarco which has won multiple awards Internationally At the American Black Film Festival ABFF including Best International Film. The film gained a worldwide theatrical on demand release and was added as the number one Jamaican film on the world elite platform Netflix in March of 2020. Kadeem has been casted in multiple plays with decorated Broadcaster, Tv Host, Actress, Writer and Director Dahlia Harris’s Theatrical productions Dat A Gwan Jamaica (2018, Dat A Gwan Jamaica Remix(2018), Case of the Ex(2019), Hell and Powder House (2020) to making his television debut on Dahlia’s hit TV series Ring Games (2020).

Kadeem is no stranger to the big screen and the hearts of the Jamaican people for he’s made a seamless transition into music as Kenzic producing his first Ep/Mixtape entitled BRAN NEW a nine track musical collection including his hit debut single Lion Heart a song which was featured on the Sprinter movie sound track in (2019) and then in 2020 producing his debut album with Music Label Sarangetti Music with an album entitled Confident a eight Track reggae/pop album featuring Keznamdi. Kenzic has performed at Rebel Salute opening for The Nomaddz a Dub Poetry and reggae performing arts group, Irevolt, Heartfelt, at the university of the West Indies Mona several shows within the Institution and opening for Agent Sasco at the NCU Northern Caribbean University’s year end production Behind Curtains, also Opening for Tanya Stephens at then Yellow Pages Annual Fashion and Art symposium, Comic rotation also opening again for Tanya Stephens at the Long Story Short storytelling platform along many other stage show performances.
